MIBK
Methyl isobutyl ketone (MIBK) is obtained by reacting acetones and hydrogen using a catalyst.
This is a transparent and inflammable compound with a distinct odor.
The compound is not soluble in water.

MIBK -

Ingredient for vinyl, acryl, alkyd resins, polyesters, solvent for epoxy resins,
and other diverse chemical reactions.
It is also used for manufacturing lacquers, gums, recovery of used uranium,
pharmaceuticals, electroplating, semiconductors, etc.
